Girls in Capes is accepting pitches and submissions for upcoming issues. We are currently interested in the following types of submissions:
- Guest articles
- Blog tour stops
- Interview opportunities
- Press releases/other promotions
Any submissions should follow GIC’s content and fit our intended audience. You can find our mission statement here and our editorial calendar here. Guest writing is not limited to female writers, but we do like to hear perspectives from people of color, people in the LGBTQ community, and other underrepresented groups.
Think you have a great idea for a guest article for Girls in Capes? Please email the editor at email@example.com with your pitch.
Please note that guest pieces on Girls in Capes are not currently compensated.
We would love to host a blog tour stop for authors, comic book creators, or other creative types whose work fits into our mission statement, defined above. Previously, we’ve hosted primarily young adult authors such as Amanda Sun and Suzanne Kamata.
If you’d like to inquire about a tour stop at Girls in Capes, shoot an email to Feliza at firstname.lastname@example.org with “Blog tour” mentioned in the subject line.
Our staff welcomes interview opportunities with authors, comic book creators, independent filmmakers, and other creative types whose work fits into our mission statement.
If you or someone you represent is available for interview, contact Feliza at email@example.com with “interview opportunity” mentioned in the subject line. Your request will be passed on to the appropriate staff member.
Press Releases/Publicity Campaigns
GiC welcomes all press releases and publicity campaigns, though we cannot and do not run all releases we receive. Press releases can be sent to the editor at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are most likely to run press releases that are more than 400 words in length and contain at least one quotation.
