Amber Neva Brown

Amber Neva Brown is the Young Adult book reviewer for Girls in Capes and head of the Raleigh branch of the book club. She is the inventory/receiving manager at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh NC, and is a huge proponent of the Indies First and We Need Diverse Books campaigns. She received her Master’s degree in Publishing with a double concentration in Editorial and Children’s/YA from Rosemont College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Amber grew up in a podunk town in North Carolina, where she had to drive 90 minutes to another state to reach the closest bookstore. She received her Bachelor’s in English at UNC Greensboro. Beyond reading, she enjoys watching trashy reality television, collecting random items she finds in used books, and buying too much tea. She almost exclusively watches anime that are romantic comedies. She organizes her Goodreads shelves for fun and never wears matching socks.

Her top fandoms are Harry Potter and Doctor Who. She has a lot of panda things. She wants you to read The Book Thief. Right now.
