Princess Mononoke remains one of my long time favorite movies.... unfortunately I own it on VHS, and I no longer have a VHS player.

The movie is so moving, so involved with and interested in the natural world and spirituality. It's also interesting that San does not end up with Ashitaka, and the Forest Spirit is successfully shot. Of course, this provides further evidence for my belief that tragedy produces the best art!
