“I’m not normally huge on multiplayer games – especially in RPGs – but Child of Light is just the sort of speed I like for Player Two in a game. The main draws of this download-only game are the gorgeous watercolor-esque art and the poetic, rhyming verse in the cuts, but the game’s light humor and mysterious storyline are equal draws. While the multiplayer aspect is a little underdeveloped, it’s fun for a tag-along friend or younger sibling, and the story itself is what the players will really be interested in.”

“I grabbed Lumberjanes on Comixology because my local comic shop had sold out of all its copies, and after finally reading it, I can totally see why they sold out. Lumberjanes reminds me of Adventure Time, but with a cast made up entirely of rad little ladies who say things like “What in the Joan Jett are you doing?!” and “Oh my Bessie Coleman!” while fighting off mysterious three-eyed fox creatures in the middle of the woods. I mean, really, can you go wrong with any of that? The art is great; it’s very bright with a lot going on to draw you in and make you want to pore over every page. I did that with my digital copy—to the massive chagrin of my eyes, I’m guessing—so I can imagine that it’s just as fun to see in person and check out in more detail. It may take me a few reads to keep everyone’s names in order, since several characters are introduced at once, but I think it’s gonna be totally worth it, because Lumberjanes is freakin’ awesome and such a blast to read. Also: FRIENDSHIP TO THE MAX!”
