I'd love to see the opposite for Elektra, her struggling to regain her humanity/agency and determine who she wants to be in the face of the circumstances of her birth, her upbringing as a child soldier, and her idolization by a (vampire?) cult. Hell, I could probably even give a decent elevator pitch for a screenplay. (Set it in Japan and use it as an opportunity to introduce Blade because I'm pretty sure they're vampires)
But yeah it seems like you're right, her role as a character will pan out to either be the first person (who isn't Nobu) that Matt has to kill, or Matt will "save" her, at which point she'll either disappear from the plot or lose more agency as a character.

I haven't reached Elektra's introduction in Season 2 yet, but this is pretty disappointing. Daredevil's been simultaneously excellent and terrible in a lot of ways, like how Matt has supposedly never killed a person before (except for that guy in Season One, but he was Japanese so maybe he doesn't count as a person /sarcasm). That issue's kind of compounded by this in that the "exotic" woman is highly sexualized while the white woman is the "pure" one. Grand. Just - grand.
